Register! and Vote Nov. 3rd 2020
Increased voter interest and participation resulted in the Democratic House of Representatives majority - In 2020 we need a similar effort to unseat a terribly destructive President and cowardly complicit Republican Senators.

Peacemakers Voting Activation Project
Anticipating increased interest in the 2018 mid-term election cycle, Peacemakers of Schoharie County announces launch of the Voter Activation Project and distribution of their "Got News" voter information guide.
"We expect that more citizens will go to the polls next year because of heightened interest in the performance of our federal elected officials and greater polarization of the electorate," said Peacemakers representative Wayne Stinson.
Most concerning, according to a Census Bureau Survey, in the previous mid-term elections only about half of 18-34 year olds were registered to vote, and an even smaller percentage actually went to the polls.
"This important youthful demographic has the potential to decide the 2018 election if they become registered to vote and turn out on election day," Stinson said. The NY 19th Congressional District Representative, one United States Senator, and several important state offices will be on the ballot in 2018.
The Voter Activation Project’s GOT NEWS guide will help citizens become well informed by providing a variety of links to trustworthy sources which cover the important news.
"As little as fifteen minutes a day checking the reports will help a citizen gain better understanding of the issues," Stinson said. The guide also offers voter registration resources and contact information for area elected officials.
Peacemakers will be distributing "Got News" in various ways, but with an emphasis on electronic distribution because the document's extensive use of live hyper-links will facilitate research and on line voter registration.
