Concentration Camps
– Is it Fascism yet?
This week’s most
detestable Republican performance, initiated as theater by the Orange
Irritant, has been the decision to become even more hateful, vicious
and vindictive in the treatment of refugee migrants seeking asylum at our
southern border. The leakage at our northern border is in a different
direction and is handled quite humanely by Canada – and ignored by
the Trump SS/IKL. The
contrast is most instructive.

ends with screaming children in cages.”

Aims to Dismantle Protections for Immigrant Kids… reports that
the Trump administration’s Confederate AG is appealing an earlier
judicial decree which restricted the time government could detain
migrant children to 21 days. If overturned, future detention of
children, with or without family, could be indefinite.
In their zeal to
Make Amerika Great Again the Occupying Force, see My May post, has exhausted housing capacity of the
corporate-for-profit collaborators and have begun to establish
detention
camps on military bases in Texas. The very definition of a
consentration
camp .
First they came for
the Hatians. Then they came for the Mexicans, then the LGBTQ folks,
then Hondurans, Guatemalans and Ecuadorans...but I thought I was safe
– I’m very white and my grandmother on my father’s side
was born somewhere in New Jersey – Oh shit, I’m a member of the
Democratic Socialists of America, registered Green party, petitioned
for Bernie, write snarky letters to the editor…
So, resist and
revolt I must ‘cause it’s only a matter of time.
